AGU Fall Meeting
Dec. 14–18, 2015
Moscone Convention Center
747 Howard Street, San Francisco
If last year's numbers are a good indication, nearly 24,000 attendees are expected at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting. In its 48th year, this annual event is the largest Earth and space science community meeting on the globe. Attendees include those early in their careers, students from high school through grad school, and those established in their fields from all over the world. Members and non-members spend time attending more than 1,800 oral and poster sessions, general sessions, exhibits, presentations, town hall meetings and daily meetings. Registration fees include access to the opening Ice Breaker reception, Keynote addresses, the Honors Ceremony, daily refreshments and non-ticketed social events.
Moscone Center is located in San Francisco's SOMA (South of Market) district. It's just 10 minutes by taxi or car from the Hotel Nikko, and there are parking garages nearby. Public transit is a convenient option just outside our doors. You can take the 27 Muni bus, catching it at the corner of Mason and O'Farrell streets, and exiting at 5th and Folsom streets near the Convention Center. Or why not get some fresh air and a little exercise? Moscone is just a 15-minute walk from the hotel.
