Chris Botti
Music Events in San Francisco: Chris Botti in Concert
The show is almost sold out, so you'll have to act fast to secure your seats to see Chris Botti. The popular jazz instrumentalist has emerged as the top seller in the genre. This artist has risen to fame thanks to his tremendous skill, timing and soul as a trumpeter. Botti has an incredible stage presence, inspired by Miles Davis and reminiscent of that sumptuous old-school depth. Over the course of his career, he has rubbed elbows with music icons like Frank Sinatra, Buddy Rich, Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell and Sting.
In 2012, Botti released his album Impressions, an impressive collection of ballads performed with today's pop culture stars. These legends include Vince Gill, Herbie Hancock and Mark Knopfler. Not surprisingly, the record won Best Pop Instrumental Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards. With a set list that spans well-known hits and sentimental songs, this musical event has already attracted locals and visitors alike. Grab your seats while they're still available for this 7:30 p.m. show at the SFJAZZ Center, Miner Auditorium. The show takes place on Thursday, January 22nd.
Botti will take the stage with a full band to enrich this musical experience. He will be accompanied by Caroline Campbell on violin, Ben Butler on guitar, and more musicians on keyboards, piano, bass, drums, and two vocalist performers.
