Hotel Nikko San Francisco is the only property bearing the chain's name in the United States and has retained the same owner and same management company for all of its 25 years in business. There are a total of 78 Nikko and Okura properties worldwide.

In the past 25 years, Hotel Nikko has been consistently voted one of the Bay Area's "Best Places to Work" by their own employees. The hotel has also made extensive updates in order to receive green business certifications, notably earning the US EPA's Energy Star for nine years running. Additionally, thousands of hours of service and in-kind donations to local philanthropies have been donated, prompting the professional Convention Managers Association to honor Hotel Nikko with their 2012 PCMA Service Award, and California Hotel and Lodging Association the 2010 CH&LA Community Service Award.
In celebration of this special occasion Hotel Nikko has created a special "Silver Anniversary" prix-fixe menu that will be offered from October 11th through the end of November at Restaurant ANZU, located inside the hotel. The price will be $49 for five courses and an with additional $30 for wine pairings.
